Audiowalk in a disappearing world.

Summer 2009, Vietnam, Cat Ba Island.

Recorded with Marantz PMD 660 and Rode NT4 during a Soundwalk across the island through the Cat Ba National Park.
The limestone mountains covered with subtropical plants are home to many rare species, some of which only lives there.

The biotope on the island is unique. With a guide I was able to walk across the island through the rainforest in one day. The resulting sound recordings reflect a small part of the great biodiversity of the island.
From the rainforest to the sea, with the trip across Halong Bay to Cat Ba City.
